A subscription bills for as long as you want your backups; MomentBackup starts at US$49 once, and the storage is your own. New to this? Read MomentBackup vs built-in Mac backup.

Questions

Pricing questions

Is MomentBackup a subscription?
No. Buy it once and it's yours — the license never expires and 1.x updates are included.
Is there a storage subscription?
Also no. We never host your data — you bring your own drive, NAS, or bucket.
How does the trial work?
Download and install MomentBackup without an account. Sign in inside the app to start the 7-day trial — no credit card. Another computer uses the same end date. When it ends, new backups pause; restores keep working.
Which plan should I buy?
Count your computers. Just one machine: the 1-computer plan. A desktop, a laptop, and one more: the 3-computer plan.
What if I replace a computer?
Move the license to the replacement. Retired computers don't keep a place in your allowance.
Can I buy more than one package?
Yes. Each purchase has its own key and computer allowance — combine them however you like.
Do the bigger plans include more features?
No. Every personal plan includes the full product and 1.x updates. Only the number of computers changes.
Can I license a computer that never goes online?
Yes. The key is self-contained — type it in, or carry the license file over on a USB stick. Air-gapped machines never need to connect.
Do I need a license to restore my files?
Never. A license unlocks new backups — it is never a gate on recovery. Install MomentBackup anywhere, point it at your backup, and restore.
I lost my license key — how do I get it back?
Check the MomentBackup fulfillment email from checkout, or sign in to your account to re-download it. Neither works? Contact support — the key itself is your license.
